The Florida Renewal Journal

How we work

Editorial Standards

Accuracy, useful context, and visible independence guide every story we publish.

Accuracy and sourcing

We verify factual claims against current, credible sources and favor primary material such as Florida agencies, building-code documents, manufacturer specifications, and direct interviews. Cost estimates and regulations are dated and localized whenever possible.

Expertise and transparency

Contributor pages identify relevant experience and subject areas. Stories distinguish between established facts, professional judgment, and personal experience. We disclose meaningful commercial relationships that could affect how readers interpret a story.

Corrections and updates

When a substantive error is confirmed, we correct it promptly and note the change when it materially affects the article. Updated publication dates are used only when a story has been reviewed and meaningfully revised.

Sponsored content

Paid placements are labeled “Sponsored.” Sponsor links use appropriate search-engine attributes, and sponsors do not receive approval over independent editorial coverage.
